Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
RanRon Publisher is a private tool operated by the owner of the RanRon Kids YouTube channel ("we", "us"). It is used only by the channel owner to publish the channel's own videos. It is not offered to the public, has no user accounts, and does not collect information from viewers. This policy explains exactly what data the tool handles.
YouTube API Services
RanRon Publisher uses YouTube API Services (the YouTube Data API v3). By using RanRon Publisher, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Data we access
After the channel owner signs in with Google OAuth 2.0, the tool accesses only the RanRon Kids channel, using these permissions:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.uploadhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl
With them it reads:
- the authorized channel's ID, title and list of uploaded videos;
- for the channel's own videos: video ID, title, description, tags, privacy status, scheduled publish time, Made for Kids setting, altered-or-synthetic-content setting and upload status;
- whether a video is already in the configured playlist, if a playlist is configured.
It sends to YouTube only the channel's own approved content: the video file, the thumbnail image, the title, description, tags, category, language, Made for Kids setting, privacy and schedule.
It does not access comments, subscribers, viewers, analytics, earnings, messages, or any other channel or Google account.
Why we access it
- to upload and publish RanRon Kids episodes with the correct details and Made for Kids setting;
- to confirm the tool is signed in to the RanRon Kids channel before making any change;
- to check that each upload, thumbnail, playlist addition and schedule was applied correctly;
- to find an episode already on the channel so that it is never uploaded twice.
The data is used for nothing else.
Where data is stored
RanRon Publisher has no server. Everything it keeps is stored on the channel owner's own computer:
- Google sign-in credentials — the OAuth client configuration and the access and refresh tokens, in local files readable only by the owner's user account. These files are excluded from source control and are never uploaded anywhere except to Google when signing in.
- Publishing records — for each episode: its YouTube video ID, the channel ID, the upload progress, the schedule, which steps have completed, the settings observed on YouTube at the last check, and a short log of recent events.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share any data. Data is sent only to Google and YouTube, through the YouTube Data API, to perform the actions listed above. The tool contains no advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind.
Retention and deletion
- Sign-in tokens are kept until the owner revokes access or deletes the token file.
- Publishing records are kept for as long as the owner keeps the episode's files, so that an episode is never uploaded twice. The owner can delete them at any time.
- Videos, thumbnails and their details on YouTube remain on the RanRon Kids channel under YouTube's own terms until the owner changes or deletes them in YouTube Studio.
Security
- All communication with Google uses HTTPS.
- Credential files are readable only by the owner's user account and are kept out of source control.
- Before any change, the tool confirms that it is signed in to the RanRon Kids channel and stops if it is not.
- Every upload starts as a private video; nothing is made public without a scheduled, checked step.
Revoking access
The channel owner can remove RanRon Publisher's access at any time at Google Account permissions (security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Deleting the local token file also stops all access from that computer.
Children
RanRon Kids makes videos for children, but RanRon Publisher does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It only publishes the channel's own content, and every video is marked Made for Kids.
Changes to this policy
If the tool's use of data changes, this page will be updated and the date above revised.
